Head of SEND & Inclusion | Multi-Setting Leadership Role

This is a group-wide leadership role based at our Peterborough setting, with regular travel required across all childcare settings.
Mileage expenses are paid in line with company policy.
Salary: £35,360 – £39,780 (dependent on experience)
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Reports to: Board of Directors & Head of Nursery Operations
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head of SEND & Inclusion to lead inclusive practice across our growing Childcare Group.
This is a senior leadership role with responsibility for shaping and driving SEND strategy across multiple settings, ensuring consistently high-quality provision and excellent outcomes for children with additional needs.
Working closely with the Board of Directors and senior leaders, you will play a key role in embedding a strong culture of inclusion where every child is supported to thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the Group-wide SEND & Inclusion strategy
- Ensure consistent, high-quality SEND practice across all settings
- Oversee EHCP processes, assessments, and interventions
- Coach, develop, and support SENDCOs and inclusion teams
- Strengthen multi-agency working with external professionals and local authorities
- Deliver training and promote best practice across all settings
- Monitor SEND data and drive continuous improvement
- Ensure compliance with EYFS, SEND Code of Practice, and safeguarding requirements
What We’re Looking For
- QTS, Early Years qualification, or equivalent
- Level 3 SENDCO qualification (or working towards)
- Strong SEND leadership experience in early years or primary education
- Excellent knowledge of SEND Code of Practice and EYFS
- Confident leader with ability to influence across multiple settings
- Experience working with external agencies and multi-disciplinary teams
- Strong communication, coaching, and organisational skills
