We work with retailers, marketplace operators and growing consumer brands to improve ecommerce platforms, customer journeys and internal commerce systems.
We are looking for a Principal Product Consultant who can provide senior product expertise across discovery, strategy and delivery. This is a high level individual contributor position with no executive or departmental management responsibilities.
You will work closely with clients, product teams, designers and engineers to define problems, evaluate opportunities and guide product decisions. You will act as a trusted adviser throughout the product lifecycle while remaining actively involved in research, planning and delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
Product Discovery:
Lead structured discovery activities to understand customer needs, commercial objectives, operational challenges and technical constraints.
Product Strategy:
Develop clear product recommendations, opportunity assessments and prioritised roadmaps based on evidence and business value.
Client Consulting:
Advise clients on ecommerce platforms, customer journeys, marketplace operations and digital product improvement opportunities.
Requirements Definition:
Translate complex commercial needs into clear product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria and measurable outcomes.
Research and Analysis:
Use customer research, behavioural data, competitor analysis and operational insights to support product decisions.
Cross Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with product managers, designers, engineers, analysts and client stakeholders throughout planning and delivery.
Product Evaluation:
Review existing digital products, identify performance gaps and recommend practical improvements.
Stakeholder Communication:
Present findings, recommendations and product rationale clearly to both technical and non technical audiences.
Delivery Support:
Support product teams during implementation by resolving requirements questions, reviewing outputs and maintaining alignment with agreed objectives.
What We Are Looking For:
Experience:
At least 6 years of experience in product management, product consulting, ecommerce strategy, business analysis or digital product delivery.
Consulting Ability:
Strong experience advising clients or senior stakeholders on complex product and commercial decisions.
Product Knowledge:
A solid understanding of product discovery, roadmapping, prioritisation, requirements definition and iterative delivery.
Ecommerce Experience:
Experience working with ecommerce platforms, digital marketplaces, retail technology or customer facing digital products is highly desirable.
Analytical Skills:
The ability to combine qualitative research, performance data and commercial information to form clear recommendations.
Communication:
Excellent written and verbal English with the confidence to lead workshops and present product recommendations.
Tools:
Experience with product and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, Miro, Figma, analytics platforms or similar systems.
Mindset:
You are commercially aware, evidence led and comfortable challenging assumptions. You know how to balance customer value, business priorities and delivery constraints.
Pay: £36,001.00-£82,500.00 per year
