Buzzers Community CIC is seeking an enthusiastic, reliable, and qualified Cheerleading Coach to join our activity provider team in Beckenham.
This role involves delivering one fun, engaging weekly cheerleading session for secondary school girls on Mondays 15:00 - 16:00. You will create a welcoming and positive space where young people can build confidence, learn new routines and skills, stay active, and enjoy being part of a supportive team.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver one engaging weekly cheerleading session lasting one hour.
- Create age-appropriate routines and activities for secondary school girls.
- Teach cheerleading fundamentals, including movement, dance, jumps, coordination, rhythm, teamwork, and performance skills.
- Adapt activities for different confidence levels, fitness levels, and previous experience.
- Create a fun, inclusive, supportive, and safe environment for all participants.
- Encourage confidence, teamwork, self-expression, physical activity, and positive wellbeing.
- Communicate effectively with participants, parents/guardians, and Buzzers Community CIC staff.
Requirements
- Recognised cheerleading or relevant coaching qualification and/or suitable demonstrated experience.
- Experience delivering sessions to young people, particularly secondary-school-aged participants, is preferred.
- Current DBS check, or willingness to obtain one.
- Public liability insurance.
- First Aid certification.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A reliable, punctual, enthusiastic, and inclusive approach to coaching.
