40kg Coal Delivery Driver / Trainee Class C Driver
We have an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with a standard (Category B) driving licence to join our team as a Delivery Driver, with the potential to progress to a Class C (HGV) licence following a training period.
Applicants must hold a clean driving licence with a minimum of two years’ driving experience and be physically fit due to the nature of the role.
Role Overview:
You will be responsible for delivering a range of fuel products to domestic customers using a pick-up sized Isuzu Grafter. Duties include loading the vehicle safely and accurately using a forklift, as well as manually handling and stacking deliveries. Products include 40kg bags of coal and nets/sacks of logs.
You will be assigned delivery routes on a fortnightly schedule, covering approximately 10 different areas.
Key Requirements:
- Good level of physical fitness (regular handling of 40kg bags)
- Strong communication skills (written and spoken English)
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to complete delivery paperwork and carry out basic calculations
Training & Development:
Full training will be provided. There is also an opportunity to obtain a Class C (HGV) licence, funded by the company, subject to a mutual training agreement.
