We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Materials Handler to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities
- Safely load and unload materials using forklifts and other mechanical equipment, ensuring proper handling and placement
- Assist in organising warehouse storage areas for optimal space utilisation and easy access to materials
- Conduct regular inspections of materials handling equipment, including forklifts, to ensure safety and operational readiness
- Support construction teams by delivering materials promptly to job sites while adhering to safety protocols
- Maintain accurate records of inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring all documentation is complete and compliant
- Collaborate with team members to execute shipping & receiving tasks efficiently while adhering to safety standards
Experience
- Proven warehouse experience with a strong understanding of materials handling procedures
- Valid forklift certification with demonstrated experience operating forklifts safely in a busy environment - Desirable but not essential.
- Valid Crane certification - Desirable but not essential
- Mechanical knowledge related to heavy lifting equipment and basic maintenance procedures
- Experience working in construction or industrial settings is highly desirable
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely for extended periods during shift shifts
- Prior experience in shipping & receiving operations, including load & unload activities
