Qualified Early Years Educator
Lovely small village Pre-School looking for someone up to 35 hours per week.
We are looking for someone with a full and relevant Early Years qualification
Working hours will vary between 7.30am to 3.30pm term time only. 38.3 weeks a year.
- As an Early Years Educator, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing and inspiring environment where every child can thrive.
Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting Children’s Learning & Development
- Creating fun, engaging and educational experiences that both challenge and support children’s individual learning.
- Working alongside the Pre-School Manager and team to plan, deliver and monitor the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Acting as a Key Person (or supporting as a Back-Up Key Person) to a group of children, ensuring their individual needs are reflected in daily routines and curriculum planning.
- Maintaining accurate, informative and up-to-date records of children’s progress, including any developmental or behavioural concerns.
- A solid understanding of the EYFS, how to deliver this within a setting and how to make it fun.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child development
Care, Welfare & Safeguarding
- Providing a consistently high standard of care to enhance children’s development, health and wellbeing.
- Adhering fully to the Pre-School’s safeguarding policies and procedures to promote the welfare and safety of all children, reporting any concerns immediately to the Pre-School Manager.
- Promoting equality and inclusion, ensuring each child’s individual needs, background and circumstances are understood and supported.
- Contributing to maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment, including additional cleaning duties as required.
Partnership & Teamwork
- Working as part of a supportive team, contributing to staff meetings, supervisions and appraisals.
- Attending relevant training and development opportunities identified by the Pre-School Manager to ensure practice remains current and of high quality.
- Being fully aware of and implementing all operational policies and procedures, including confidentiality requirements.
Professional Responsibilities
- Flexibility and adaptability in line with the needs of the Pre-School.
- Undertaking any additional duties reasonably required by the Pre-School Manager to support the smooth running of the setting.

Salary: £12.71-£13.30 per hour dependent on experience (this hourly rate has already taken in to consideration the NMW Increase in April 2026)
