Job Summary
We are seeking a versatile and proactive General Builder / Handyman to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of construction, maintenance, and repair tasks across various sites. Your expertise will help ensure that projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to high standards. Responsibilities
- Execute diverse construction tasks including carpentry, roofing repairs, masonry work, and fabrication to meet project specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on buildings, fixtures, and equipment using hand tools and power tools.
- Install or repair plumbing systems, electrical wiring, and electrical fixtures following safety standards and codes.
- Conduct construction painting to ensure surfaces are finished to desired quality standards.
- Fabricate custom components or structures as needed using welding techniques and fabrication tools.
- Assist with site preparation, clean-up, and ensuring a safe working environment at all times.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to plan work sequences and troubleshoot issues promptly.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in general construction work with skills in carpentry, roofing, masonry, plumbing, welding, electrical work, or related fields.
- Proficiency with hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, chisels; power tools including drills, saws, grinders; welding equipment; and fabrication machinery.
- Knowledge of construction painting techniques and safety procedures.
- Ability to read technical drawings or blueprints is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
- Excellent physical stamina for lifting heavy materials and working in various weather conditions.
- Relevant certifications or licenses in construction trades are preferred but not mandatory.
