Are you an experienced Nursery Manager looking for an exciting opportunity to lead a brand new nursery and deliver exceptional childcare and support for children, families and colleagues?
Harvey House Nursery is opening a brand-new nursery in Leyton, E10, in January 2027 and we are looking for an exceptional Nursery Manager to lead this exciting 43 place setting.

From recruiting and developing your team to building relationships with families and shaping the culture of the nursery, you'll have the opportunity to influence every aspect of the setting and make a lasting impact on children's lives from day one.
The Role
As Nursery Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership and day-to-day management of the nursery, ensuring the highest standards of care, education and safeguarding are delivered at all times.
You will provide operational and strategic leadership, creating a welcoming and inspiring environment where children thrive, families feel supported, and colleagues are empowered to succeed.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading, motivating and developing a high-performing nursery team
- Developing strong and trusting partnerships with our families
- Creating a positive, collaborative culture that promotes wellbeing, inclusion and continuous improvement
- Maintain the highest standards of safeguarding, health and safety and children’s welfare
- Ensuring the nursery remains fully compliant and inspection-ready for Ofsted and Local Authority visits
- Support the recruitment, induction and development of new team members
- Managing nursery budgets, staffing levels, and resources efficiently
What we are looking for
- Minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification, full and relevant as recognised by the DoFE (essential)
- At least two years’ experience of leading and managing a team within a nursery setting, including DSL training
- Strong understanding of child development, health & safety requirements, and early years legislation
- Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills
