Lettings Assistant
Responsible to: Lettings Manager

COMPETENCE REQUIREMENTS FOR JOB
EDUCATION: GCSE or equivalent
SPECIFIC TRAINING (Certificates etc.): First aid at work and DBS preferred
SPECIFIC SKILLS: Communication, teamwork and organisational skills
EXPERIENCE: No previous experience required
KEY OBJECTIVES
1. To deliver an efficient, friendly and consistently high quality service to all customers.
2. To help and work together with the senior staff on duty.

- To greet customers in a friendly manner and with a smile.
- To make sure hirers sign the Client Sign in Sheet.
- To inspect the facility before booking begins, making sure it’s clean and there are no hazards that may cause harm to the hirer or the staff, anything of concern must be reported to the Lettings Manager.
- To help with setting up the facility for bookings, this may include but is not limited to, setting up the badminton nets, basketball hoops, theatre seats, tables and chairs for events, mopping and hoovering the facility.
- To make sure the booked facilities are cleaned up before and after the bookings.
- To monitor the hirers, making sure they comply with the rules, i.e. no smoking, drinking, eating or using up more space than booked.
- Ensure walks are done every 20-30 minutes to ensure the health and safety of the hirers and the facility.
- To report any damages/rubbish left behind by the hirers to the Lettings Manager.
- Ensure that the reception area is kept tidy and presentable at all times.
- To make sure all windows and doors are closed before closing up.
- Ensure all lights are turned off before closing up.
- To report any areas of concern to the Lettings Manager.
- Arming and disarming the buildings before and after the lettings.
