Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts & Payroll Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining the payroll, bookkeeping and reconciliation processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations. This role requires proficiency in accounting software and experience with payroll and accounting systems. The Accounts & Payroll Administrator will play a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of the organisation.
Duties
- Set up and manage a large number of client Direct Debits.
- Reconciliation of large batch payments for clients and suppliers.
- Check supplier invoices and identify errors.
- Identify and address discrepancies in all documentation.
- Maintain and update client and supplier information.
- Contact clients to ensure prompt payments.
- Process timely and accurate payments to clients and suppliers.
- Perform general accounting tasks, such as bookkeeping and tax preparation.
- Communicate any financial discrepancies to senior management.
- Process payroll for all employees, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
- Maintain records and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
- Conduct data entry for new hires, terminations, and changes in employee status.
- Analyse payroll data to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
- Generate payroll reports for management review and audits.
- Stay updated on changes in payroll legislation and best practices.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Accounts & Payroll Administrator or similar role.
- Proficiency in accounting software, particularly Xero.
- Experience in analysing financial data and preparing reports.
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping procedures and best practices.
Skills
- Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Capability to stay organized and maintain detailed records.
