This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineer who combines strong audio processing expertise with a passion for innovation. You'll work across both traditional and cloud-based environments, solving complex technical challenges, influencing future technology strategy, and helping to shape the evolution of our audio services.
You'll also have the opportunity to mentor colleagues, lead engineering initiatives, and collaborate with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders to deliver high-quality, resilient solutions.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Senior Engineer, you will:
- Design, develop and implement innovative audio processing solutions.
- Lead the deployment, optimisation and integration of audio processing infrastructure across on-premise and cloud environments.
- Act as a technical expert and escalation point for complex engineering challenges.
- Support solution design activities as a Design Authority (DA) or Lead Design Authority (LDA).
- Work closely with customers, suppliers and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, business-critical services.
- Drive engineering excellence through standardisation, automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with industry, regulatory and safety standards.
- Contribute to technology roadmaps, investment planning and future service development.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and identify opportunities for innovation.
- Mentor and support engineers and technicians, promoting knowledge sharing and best practice.
About You
We're looking for someone with a strong technical background in audio processing and a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Strong understanding of audio processing technologies and principles.
- Experience within broadcast, media, telecommunications or related technical environments.
- Knowledge of audio encoding, multiplexing and delivery technologies.
- Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience working with cloud and virtualised environments, including AWS, Azure or Google Cloud.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects effectively.
Desirable Experience
- Experience working within broadcast and media delivery environments.
- Knowledge of project management tools and methodologies.
- Experience contributing to technical architecture, solution design or engineering leadership activities.
Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
