Overview
We are seeking a versatile and skilled Multi Skilled Operative to join our dynamic team. This role involves working across various trades and disciplines within construction and maintenance environments. The ideal candidate will possess a broad range of practical skills, be adaptable, and committed to delivering high-quality workmanship. Duties
- Conduct carpentry tasks such as framing, fitting, and finishing work with precision and attention to detail
- Perform roofing repairs, installations, and maintenance to industry standards
- Carry out construction painting, including surface preparation and finishing coats
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in accordance with safety regulations
- Execute masonry work including bricklaying, blockwork, and concrete finishing
- Operate welding equipment for fabrication and repair purposes
- Handle electrical tasks safely, including wiring, fitting sockets, and troubleshooting electrical issues
- Utilise hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, chisels, and saws effectively
- Use power tools including drills, grinders, sanders, and saws with proper safety precautions
- Fabricate components or structures as required for various projects
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment while adhering to health and safety standards
Experience
- Proven experience in carpentry, roofing, construction painting, plumbing, masonry or welding is highly desirable
- Electrical experience or qualifications are advantageous but not essential
- Familiarity with the use of hand tools and power tools in a construction setting is required
- Experience in fabrication work will be considered an asset
- Ability to adapt quickly across multiple trades and undertake diverse tasks confidently
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload effectively
- A proactive attitude towards health & safety compliance on site

Pay: £25,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
