Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Part-Time Pot Wash to join our busy kitchen team. This role involves maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards by efficiently washing pots, pans, and other kitchenware. The ideal candidate will support the smooth operation of our food service environment, ensuring all equipment is sanitised and ready for use. Responsibilities
- Responsible for washing pots, pans, utensils, and other kitchen equipment promptly and thoroughly.
- Ensure all items are cleaned to the highest hygiene standards in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks as required, supporting the kitchen team during busy periods.
- Maintain a clean and organised work station, including organising washed items for storage or use.
- Follow proper waste disposal procedures and ensure cleaning supplies are used responsibly.
- Support the overall cleanliness of the kitchen area, including floors and surfaces.
- Collaborate effectively with chefs and other kitchen staff to ensure smooth workflow during service hours.
Experience
- Previous experience in food preparation or working within a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is desirable but not essential.
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and cleaning procedures is advantageous.
- Experience in cooking or culinary roles can be beneficial for understanding food safety standards.
- Knowledge of hygiene regulations and health & safety practices within a professional kitchen setting is preferred.
- No prior experience is necessary; training will be provided to support your development in this role.
