Summary
The role is to work Monday to Friday - 8am to 5.30pm with a break deducted for lunch.
Job Purpose
To work and lead a team on a busy lead refinery site, you will be responsible for loading and unloading of lorries using a Counterbalance Lift Truck (up to 5t) and carrying out tasks within the designated area or process on a daily basis, encompassing the smooth and seamless running of the process.
You will be transporting the material across the site using various mobile plant equipment, therefore, considering the Health, Safety and Environmental impacts to ensure the delivery of outputs without causing any adverse impact to the company is imperative.
Responsibilities
Carry out all aspects of the sites lorry loading and logistics function, checking trucks and completing housekeeping work
- Complete all daily inspections and documentation ensuring material is cleared for sale
- Assist with monthly/annual stock inspections and audits
- Monitor finished stocks and bay availability, liase with Materials Controller/Weighman and lead stream
- Operate other lead and silver processes in a safe and efficient manner where trained and directed by the relevant Team Leader or Shift Manager.
- Operate other mobile plant and cranes where trained and directed by the relevant Team Leader or Shift Manager
- To report any equipment fault symptoms to the Team Leader
- Required to perform low-level maintenance lubrication, machine cleaning, adjustments)
- Will utilise other skills, competencies and qualifications for the benefit of the business
- To assist in 'on the job' training of employees so full competence within the role is achieved
- Complete continuous improvement projects within the team and participate in risk assessment and task analysis, including responsibility for agreed actions.

Qualifications and Experience
- RTITB B1 Counterbalance Fork Lift Truck license is essential
- RTITB B2 Counterbalance Fork Lift Truck license is desirable
At least 1 year's experience in logistics/process operator role in a heavy, high volume, processing, manufactoring, 24/7 operating environment.
