Overview
We are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Racket Sport Retail Assistant to join our vibrant team. The successful candidate will play a key role in providing excellent customer service, promoting our range of sporting equipment, and ensuring the smooth operation of the retail space. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about sports and retail, with a focus on delivering a memorable shopping experience for all customers.
Duties
- Assisting customers in selecting appropriate racket sports equipment, apparel, and accessories
- Providing detailed product information and recommendations to optimise customer satisfaction
- Managing stock levels through merchandising and organisation of the sales floor
- Upselling products to maximise sales opportunities while maintaining excellent customer service standards
- Handling transactions efficiently using the point-of-sale system, including processing payments and issuing receipts
- Maintaining a clean and organised retail environment, including displays and fitting areas
- Engaging with customers via phone or in person using professional phone etiquette and communication skills
- Supporting promotional activities and events within the store to increase product awareness and sales
Qualifications
- Fluency in English
- Strong communication skills with an ability to engage effectively with diverse customers
- Organised with excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks efficiently
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
- Experience in merchandising or retail is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
- Demonstrated organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work well within a team, demonstrating good phone etiquette and interpersonal skills
- A genuine interest in racket sports or sporting goods is preferred but not mandatory
