Trainee Resin Injection / Ground Stabilisation Technician

About the role
Due to continued expansion, GLS Coating Ltd is looking for a motivated individual to join our Ground Stabilisation Division as a Trainee Resin Injection Technician.
Previous resin injection experience would be an advantage, but it is not essential. Full training will be provided to the right candidate. This opportunity would particularly suit someone with practical experience in groundworks, underpinning, foundations, civil engineering, construction or a similar site-based role.
You will work as part of an experienced team on projects across the UK, learning how to carry out resin injection and ground stabilisation works safely and to a high standard. As your knowledge and experience develop, you will be given greater responsibility and opportunities to progress within our expanding business.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with resin injection and ground stabilisation works.
- Help prepare and set up sites, equipment and working areas.
- Learn to operate and maintain resin injection equipment and associated tools.
- Follow instructions, risk assessments and safe working procedures.
- Monitor works and assist with completion checks and site documentation.
- Maintain high standards of safety, quality and housekeeping.
- Work effectively as part of a site team.
- Travel throughout the UK and stay away from home when required.
Essential requirements
- Previous experience in groundworks, underpinning, foundations, construction or another practical site-based role.
- A good understanding of site safety.
- Willingness to learn resin injection and ground stabilisation techniques.
- A reliable, practical and hardworking approach.
- Ability to work outdoors and carry out physically demanding tasks.
- Ability to travel nationwide and stay away when required.
- Full UK driving licence.
- CSCS card, or willingness to obtain one.
Desirable but not essential
- Previous resin injection or ground stabilisation experience.
- Experience operating construction plant, machinery or specialist equipment.
- HGV licence and valid CPC.
- Knowledge of Graco plural-component machines.
- Experience using a CAT and Genny scanner.
- Experience carrying out ground testing.
- Relevant construction qualifications, tickets or cards.
