Job Summary

Duties
- Assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations, including food preparation and presentation
- Supervise and motivate kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and high standards of service
- Oversee food production, ensuring consistency, quality, and adherence to recipes and specifications
- Lead food preparation activities, including cooking, plating, and garnishing dishes to meet quality standards
- Maintain strict food safety and hygiene standards in compliance with health regulations
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients
- Train new staff members on kitchen procedures, safety protocols, and customer service expectations
- Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery during busy periods
- Monitor kitchen cleanliness and organisation to uphold a safe working environment
Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen environment
- Strong background in food production, cooking, and food preparation techniques
- Demonstrable team management skills with the ability to lead and motivate staff effectively
- Extensive kitchen experience across various cuisines and hospitality settings
