Overview
We are seeking an energetic and motivated part time Activities Co-ordinator to join our existing activities team to enrich the lives of our residents through engaging and meaningful activities. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of our established team supporting residents with a cognitive impairment.
Duties
- Follow and enhance our established activities planner which has a variety of stimulating activities tailored to residents’ interests and abilities
- Foster a lively and inclusive atmosphere by encouraging participation in group and individual activities
- Collaborate with nursing staff to assess residents’ needs and preferences, ensuring activities support their physical and mental health
- Organise special events, outings, and themed sessions that enhance residents’ quality of life
- Maintain accurate records of activities provided, resident participation, and feedback for continuous improvement
- Support residents with a cognitive impairment in engaging safely and comfortably during activities
- Promote social interaction among residents to build a sense of community within the home
Skills
- Previous experience in activities, dementia care or care home is preferred but not essential — your empathy, creativity and confidence are what matter most.
- Strong communication skills to connect effectively with residents, families, and staff.
- Compassionate approach with excellent organisational skills to manage activities programme within the established team.

Role Requirements
- completion of PVG Disclosure Scotland check
- SSSC registration
- driving licence
- working 2/3 days, will include some weekend duties

Pay: £13.45-£13.65 per hour
Expected hours: 16.0 – 24.0 per week
