Job Overview

Duties
- Plan and coordinate all aspects of events from inception to completion, including venue selection, logistics, catering, entertainment, and décor.
- Manage event budgets and optimise upselling opportunities to maximise revenue.
- Liaise with clients to understand their requirements and provide tailored event solutions.
- Oversee the setup and breakdown of events, ensuring all elements are executed according to plan.
- Supervise on-site staff to guarantee smooth operations during events.
- Handle guest services efficiently, resolving any issues promptly to maintain high satisfaction levels.
- Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and venue staff to ensure timely delivery of services and resources.
- Implement effective time management strategies to meet deadlines and minimise disruptions.
- Maintain detailed organisational records for each event for future reference and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience
- Proven experience in event management within hospitality or related sectors such as hotels or restaurants is highly desirable.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients, vendors, and team members.
- Demonstrated ability in upselling additional services or products during events.
- Experience in fundraising or guest services is advantageous.
- Sound knowledge of hospitality operations and customer service standards.
- Exceptional time management skills with a proactive approach to planning and problem-solving.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as required by event schedules.
