As a Paralegal within our Fitness to Practise Legal Services, you’ll be at the heart of our investigations process—working on real cases that make a meaningful difference. You will join our frontloaded investigation team at an exciting time of growth, helping us deliver high-quality, proportionate investigations from start to finish. This is a hands-on role offering excellent exposure to regulatory law, case management and legal processes. Working closely with experienced Investigation Lawyers, you will build your expertise while managing your own caseload and developing strong investigative, analytical and stakeholder engagement skills.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Managing a varied caseload of fitness to practise investigations from intake to conclusion
- Gathering and analysing evidence, including taking witness statements and instructing experts
- Drafting allegations and investigation reports with accuracy and clarity
- Assessing risk and supporting interim order decisions on higher-risk cases
- Liaising with registrants, witnesses, legal representatives and internal stakeholders
- Preparing high-quality case bundles for panels and hearings
