Overview
Hammer and Halo is recruiting for an experienced labourer to join its team and work on our ever-growing portfolio of commissions. We are looking for someone who is quick, sharp, friendly and polite, and who is willing to learn the trade to an exception standard.
Requirements and responsibilities
- has experience providing hands-on support on construction and work sites
- takes pride in their work and provides an excellent finish
- will be responsibe for site preparation: clearing hazards and rubbish from the work site, assisting with heavy manual tasks
- material handling: loading and unloading materials; ensuring equipment and materials are in the correct places on site
- assisting the tradesmen: supporting skilled professions, passing tools, searching out the correct materials, mixing plaster and et cetera
- equipment maintenance: ensuring that all tools are kept clean and tidy and in the correct place for the other tradesmen
- site safety: ensuring that hazards are kept to a minimum
- has a reliable work ethic
- has good, clear communication skills
- is willing to learn all trades, with a good attitude
- will take direction from the senior tradesmen
- has 3-plus years of previous construction or labouring experience
- has a valid CSCS card

Hammer and Halo was originally founded in 2014 by Navid Saedi, a skilled tradesman and former karate world champion. We have more than 15 years’ experience in property maintenance, working in high-end residential properties as well as office and retail spaces.
It is our aim to provide an outstanding, bespoke customer experience, to leave every customer delighted with the service and work they have received.
We also have a renovation division that takes on medium- and large-scale projects, renovations and extensions. It is with this division that the successful candidate will work.
Our tradesmen are all highly professional, discrete, well-presented and fully insured.
Employment
The work will be undertaken on a self-employed basis (CIS scheme), allowing you control over your working hours and thus your income.
Pay: £29,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
