Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team of student accommodation cleaners on a temporary basis until 30th September 2026. The ideal candidate will have experience in residential cleaning and a strong commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness. As a Cleaner, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our facilities are clean, safe, and welcoming for our new tenants.
Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of assigned areas, including bedrooms, kitchens, and communal spaces.
- Dust, mop, sweep, and vacuum floors to maintain cleanliness.
- Clean and sanitise surfaces, fixtures, and equipment to ensure hygiene standards are met.
- Empty bins and dispose of waste appropriately.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor promptly.
- Follow established cleaning procedures and protocols to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
- Maintain cleaning supplies inventory and notify management when stock is low.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations while performing cleaning tasks.
Requirements
- Previous experience in student accommodation cleaning is preferred but not essential.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work as part of a team.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks that may require lifting or moving items.
- Excellent communication skills for reporting issues or collaborating with team members.
- A proactive attitude towards maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards.
Full-time hours are Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm (37.5 hours per week)

Temporary until 30th September 2026
Pay: £12.71 per hour
