Welder – EA2 Substation Project, Leiston
Location: Leiston, Suffolk (EA2 Substation Project)

We are looking for an experienced Welder to join our team on the EA2 Substation Project in Leiston.
The successful candidate will be responsible for welding mesh onto reinforcement (rebar) cages, along with supporting the site team with other associated duties on this major infrastructure project.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Welding mesh onto reinforcement (rebar) cages.
- Carrying out general welding and fabrication work as required.
- Assisting with reinforcement installation and preparation.
- Following site drawings and supervisor instructions.
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship.
- Working safely and complying with all site Health & Safety procedures.
- Assisting with other site duties as required.
Requirements
- Previous welding experience within construction or civil engineering.
- Ability to weld reinforcement steel and mesh.
- Valid CSCS card.
- Relevant welding qualifications are advantageous.
- Reliable, hardworking and able to work as part of a team.
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday: 7:30am – 6:00pm (10 hours paid)
- Saturday: 7:30am – 1:00pm
Pay Rates
- Basic Rate: £27.50 per hour
- Monday–Thursday: £41.25 per hour after 8 hours
- Friday: £41.25 per hour after 7 hours
- Saturday: First 4 hours paid at £41.25 per hour
- Saturday after 4 hours & Sunday: £55.00 per hour
- Lodge Allowance: £51.97 per day (where applicable)
