Welder Fabricator (TIG)
Location: Cooney South, Holton Heath, Poole BH16 6JL (just off Baker’s Arms roundabout)
Cooney South specialises in the design and manufacture of high-end, bespoke stainless steel and aluminium fabrications for the superyacht sector. We are currently seeking a Skilled, TIG Welder Fabricator with experience, predominantly in aluminium, with some stainless steel.
The Role
You will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling components from detailed technical drawings, ensuring the highest quality standards are maintained throughout. You will work with premium marine-grade materials, producing results that meet exacting industry standards.
We are looking for applicants with varied skill sets who take pride in their craftsmanship and are passionate about producing developing exsisting skills to produce — top-tier products.
Key Responsibilities
- TIG welding, predominantly aluminium, with some stainless steel too.
- Fabricating from technical drawings, ensuring precision and adherence to industry standards
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work environment
- Working efficiently under pressure while maintaining exceptional attention to detail
- Upholding stringent quality control at every stage of the fabrication process
- Meeting or exceeding efficiency targets, with the opportunity to earn performance-based bonuses
The Ideal Candidate
- Minimum of 2 (recent) years experience in TIG welding & Fabrication (marine industry experience desirable but not essential)
- A positive, can-do attitude with strong motivation and enthusiasm
- Results-driven with pride in delivering high-quality craftsmanship
- Strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Willingness to learn and develop skill sets to suit the varied work.
- Flexable with aditional hours when busy.
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm
- Overtime available, paid at enhanced rates
