JOB TITLE: Work Placement & Careers Coordinator
LOCATION: King's Lynn
HOURS: 26 hours per week (37 weeks per year); 4 days per week, hours to be discussed at interview
SALARY: £17,123 - £17,363 (inclusive of a non-contractual recruitment and retention allowance of £978)
Are you passionate about helping young people develop the skills, confidence and experience they need to succeed in the workplace?
In this varied and rewarding role, you'll work with students, employers and curriculum teams to source meaningful work placements, provide careers support and help learners to achieve their future ambitions.
You'll build strong relationships with local employers, visit students on placement, help learners overcome barriers to employment and work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure every student has access to high-quality industry experiences. You'll also play an important role in supporting careers education and helping students make informed decisions about their next steps into employment, apprenticeships or higher education.
You'll be joining a successful and highly regarded Work Placement and Careers team, where each coordinator works closely with specific curriculum areas to support learners on their journey into employment, apprenticeships and higher education. It's an exciting time to join the team. We're ambitious about the future of careers education at CWA and have a clear ethos of "Careers, not Courses", placing progression and employability at the heart of everything we do.
This opportunity has become available following a promotion of an existing well respected member of the team, and provides an excellent opportunity to join an experienced, supportive and hugely passionate department.
