Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Reach Truck Driver to join our warehouse team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating reach trucks to efficiently handle materials, support shipping and receiving operations, and maintain a safe and organised warehouse environment. Responsibilities
- Safely operate reach trucks to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse.
- Assist with shipping and receiving activities, ensuring accurate documentation and handling of goods.
- Manage inventory movements using warehouse management systems (WMS) to ensure stock accuracy.
- Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance on reach trucks to ensure operational safety.
- Handle materials with care, including heavy lifting when necessary, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Support warehouse organisation by stacking, storing, and retrieving items efficiently.
- Collaborate with team members to optimise workflow and improve overall warehouse productivity.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies during daily operations.
Requirements
- Valid forklift licence with specific experience operating reach trucks.
- Proven warehouse experience, ideally involving materials handling and logistics tasks.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory control.
- Mechanical knowledge related to forklift operation and basic maintenance procedures.
- Experience in construction or heavy lifting environments is advantageous.
- Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures, including load & unload operations.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including heavy lifting and prolonged standing.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail for accurate stock management.
