Beesley Fuels, is looking for an experienced Transport Manager to lead our busy fuel distribution operation in Oldbury.
You'll take responsibility for the safe, compliant and efficient running of the transport function, leading a team of around 12 HGV drivers and a Transport Clerk.
What you'll be doing
Lead and manage the day-to-day transport operation.
Plan and optimise routes and delivery schedules.
Ensure compliance with Operator Licensing, Drivers' Hours, Working Time and fuel transport regulations.
Oversee vehicle compliance, maintenance, defects and inspections.
Lead, support and develop the driver team.
Monitor transport KPIs, costs and performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
Investigate incidents, complaints and operational issues and implement solutions.
Work closely with depot, operations, sales and customer service teams to ensure safe and efficient deliveries.
Maintain high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance.
What we're looking for
Previous experience in a Transport Manager or senior transport role.
Transport Manager CPC – required.
Strong knowledge of transport compliance and Operator Licensing.
Experience managing HGV drivers and transport operations.
Strong planning, organisational and problem-solving skills.
A hands-on leadership style with the confidence to make decisions and drive improvements.
Experience in fuel, hazardous goods or another regulated transport environment would be advantageous.
ADR Tanks & Packages – desirable.
Good IT and transport management systems experience.

Hours: 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend/out-of-hours support when required.
