Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our childcare team. The ideal candidate will be committed to fostering a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your management and leadership skills while supporting early childhood development. Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging activities tailored to the developmental needs of children in accordance with early childhood education standards.
- Provide high-quality childcare, ensuring the safety and well-being of all children at all times.
- Support children's individual learning journeys through personalised care and educational support.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming nursery environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to support children's progress.
- Manage daily routines including meal times, nap times, and outdoor play activities.
- Supervise children's behaviour using positive guidance techniques whilst fostering independence and confidence.
- Lead by example in demonstrating excellent communication skills and professionalism within the team.
Skills
- Proven experience working with children within a nursery or early childhood setting.
- Strong management and leadership abilities to oversee daily activities and mentor junior staff members.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to liaise effectively with parents and team members.
- Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education practices.
- Ability to organise activities that promote learning through play.
- Compassionate approach with a genuine passion for childcare.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.
- Valid driving licence is desirable for transporting children or attending external events as required.
