The Butterleigh Inn is an award-winning Country Inn in the heart of Mid Devon. Following significant investment, we're entering an exciting new chapter with a clear ambition to become one of Devon's leading food destinations.
We're looking for an ambitious Head Chef to lead our kitchen and help shape the future of our food offering. This is far more than a kitchen job. It's an opportunity to build something special alongside an independent business that values quality, creativity and exceptional hospitality.
The Role
You'll take responsibility for all aspects of the kitchen, including:
- Leading and developing the kitchen team
- Creating seasonal menus and daily specials
- Managing food GP, labour and stock control
- Delivering consistently high food standards
- Maintaining food safety and HACCP compliance
- Supporting weddings, private events and our outdoor BBQ kitchen
About You
You'll be an experienced Head Chef, or an ambitious Sous Chef ready for the next step, with:
- Fresh food experience
- Strong leadership and organisational skills
- Good commercial awareness
- A passion for seasonal cooking and local produce
- High standards and attention to detail
