To assist with a variety of tasks, helping a 17-year-old full-time wheelchair user develop his independence and help manage social situations.
Our teenage boy likes cinema, theatre, going for walks, eating out and gaming consoles. He also plays in a power-wheelchair football team.
Our son has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy - a progressive muscle wasting condition. He also has mild cognitive impairment.
He needs help with things like road safety, directions, opening and closing of doors, accessing of food and drink, carrying of items and minimal personal care.
We would also like support in scribing his A-level homework, via a laptop provided.
