Curriculum Manager – Accounting & Finance
Location: Finsbury Park
Salary: £55,684 – £59,065 per annum
Contract: Full-time, Fixed-Term Contract – Maternity Cover
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Curriculum Manager to join a leading Further Education college in Finsbury Park, overseeing its Accounting & Finance curriculum.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced curriculum leader or senior FE professional to take responsibility for the quality, performance and development of a curriculum area, while leading and supporting a team of teaching and technical staff.
The Role
As Curriculum Manager, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across the Accounting & Finance provision, ensuring consistently high standards of teaching, learning and assessment and positive outcomes for learners.
Key responsibilities will include:

Leading and managing the delivery and development of Accounting & Finance programmes.
- Line managing, supporting and developing academic and technical staff.
- Monitoring recruitment, retention, achievement and learner satisfaction, taking action where improvements are required.
- Leading quality assurance processes, including lesson observations, staff appraisals, self-assessment and quality improvement planning.
- Analysing curriculum performance data and using this to drive improvement and learner outcomes.
- Supporting the development of new curriculum and ensuring provision responds to learner, employer and industry needs.
- Ensuring effective assessment, moderation and verification processes.
- Working with employers, awarding bodies and external partners to strengthen curriculum and progression opportunities.
- Supporting learner recruitment, promotional activities and the continued growth of the curriculum area.
- Managing staffing, resources and budgets effectively.
- Contributing to wider school/curriculum planning as a member of the management team.
About You
The successful candidate will have experience of curriculum leadership or co-ordination within Further Education, together with a strong understanding of curriculum planning, quality assurance and learner achievement.
Essential requirements:

A relevant degree and/or professional qualification in the appropriate subject area.
- A full teaching qualification is required.
- Experience of curriculum leadership or direct curriculum co-ordination within Further Education.
- Experience of curriculum planning and quality improvement.
- Experience of managing or leading teaching staff.
- Strong data analysis and performance management skills.
- Excellent communication, networking and partnership-building abilities.
- The confidence to lead, motivate and develop a team.
- A proactive approach to managing change and improving learner outcomes.
This role would suit an experienced Curriculum Manager, Programme Manager, Course Leader or experienced FE Lecturer with curriculum leadership experience looking for a fixed-term management opportunity.
