Carrier Transicold Northern Ireland is looking to recruit a Transport Refrigeration Engineer to join our team in Hillsborough.
We welcome applications from experienced transport refrigeration engineers as well as HGV technicians, vehicle mechanics and auto electricians looking to move into a specialist engineering role. Previous transport refrigeration experience is not essential, as in house & manufacturer training will be provided for the right candidate.
The Role:
You will be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing Carrier transport refrigeration equipment fitted to commercial vehicles and trailers. Work will be carried out both in the workshop and at customer locations.
Essential criteria:
You must have the legal right to work in the UK at the time of application. We are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role.
Full UK driving licence.
You will ideally have:
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
Experience with electrical and mechanical systems
A practical, problem-solving approach
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Key responsibilities include:
- Service, maintenance and repair of transport refrigeration units
- Electrical and mechanical fault finding and diagnostics
- Breakdown repairs and preventative maintenance
- Routine servicing and inspections
- Completing job reports and service documentation
- Working in line with company health & safety procedures
