Overview
We are seeking a proactive and skilled General Builder to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be instrumental in executing a wide range of building projects, ensuring quality craftsmanship and adherence to safety standards. Duties
- Perform carpentry tasks including framing, door and window installation, and cabinetry work with precision and attention to detail
- Carry out roofing activities such as shingle installation, repairs, and waterproofing to ensure structural integrity
- Apply construction painting techniques to prepare surfaces and deliver high-quality finishes
- Install and repair plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and fittings, following safety protocols
- Execute masonry work such as bricklaying, blockwork, and concrete finishing for various structures
- Operate welding equipment for metal fabrication and structural reinforcement projects
- Conduct electrical work including wiring, conduit installation, and troubleshooting with safety compliance in mind
- Use hand tools and power tools efficiently for diverse construction tasks while maintaining safety standards
- Fabricate custom components or modifications on-site to meet project specifications
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion and uphold quality standards
Requirements
- Proven experience in carpentry, roofing, masonry, plumbing, welding, electrical work or related construction trades
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools essential for various building tasks
- Strong knowledge of construction painting techniques and surface preparation methods
- Ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project plans accurately
- Experience in fabricating or modifying materials on-site is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on safety and quality assurance
- Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks including lifting heavy materials, climbing ladders, and working at heights
- Valid relevant certifications or licenses are preferred but not mandatory; willingness to obtain necessary certifications is appreciated
