Job Overview
As process operative you are required to assist the Process Team Leader in the management and maintenance of the mixing & process areas. Your main responsibility will be to assist the line setters in ensuring the production schedules are met; whilst promoting safe working environments in line with the Company’s procedures and policies.
Responsible to
You will report to the Process Team Leaser, but you will establish and maintain close working relationships with the Production Line Setters, Team Leader, Supervisor and all other production employees.
Duties/ Areas of Responsibility
The position will cover a broad area of responsibilities:
- To ensure the safe and accurate set up of the plant, machinery and equipment as directed by the Process Team Leader.
- Ensure all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’S) and methods are adhered to.
- To advise the Process Team Leader of any issues arising with the process or schedules.
- Identify areas for improvement on productivity and serviceability across all process machinery.
- To assist with regular maintenance of the plant and equipment.
- To ensure the safe and correct use of personal protective equipment in accordance with SOP’s.
- To ensure the safe and correct use of all equipment in accordance with the SOP’s.
- To promote safe working practices and follow COSHH requirements.
- To establish best practice routines for set ups and changeovers on all equipment.
- To ensure the process of raw materials and tooling is stored correctly and in the correct storage areas.
- To establish, implement and maintain best practice routines ensuring all floor areas and machinery is kept clean and tidy.
- To clearly identify the origin of waste materials and stored in the correct location.
Pay: £13.10 per hour
