This position will be contracted for a minimum of 21 hours per-week over a minimum of 3 days per-week, approx. 8.30am to 4.00pm, or 5.00pm if working on a Friday. Additional hours will be available to cover for absence etc. and there will be options to increase hours during the school year as intake increases. Additional hours will be paid as overtime.
The role is due to begin from the start of the new school year in September 2026, however for the right candidate it would be great if you were able to attend a few days during July 2026 so we can introduce you to our wonderful preschool before this school year ends.
The right candidate should ideally hold a NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent (Level 2 will be considered) and be:
- Reliable

- Passionate about the care and welfare of children
- Willing to learn - Training will be provided
- Able to work additional hours/shifts
The right candidate may also be responsible for being a key-worker to a number of children, recording, supervising and reporting their progression to the manager, and liaising with the child's parents/carers.
This position covers all aspects of preschool learning and early years next-steps, as part of a well established, dedicated and close-working team. There are also development opportunities and potential for personal and role progression.
