About the Role
As a Care Assistant, you will visit people in their own homes, providing high-quality, person-centred care and companionship. Every visit is an opportunity to make a genuine difference to someone's day.
Responsibilities
- Providing personal care with dignity and respect.
- Assisting with washing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Supporting clients with medication (following training and company procedures).
- Preparing meals and assisting with nutrition and hydration.
- Helping with light household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and shopping.
- Providing companionship and emotional support.
- Encouraging independence and promoting wellbeing.
- Accurately recording care provided and reporting any concerns.
- Travelling between clients' homes within the local community.
What We're Looking For
- A caring, kind, and compassionate nature.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliability, honesty, and professionalism.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, or bank holidays on a rota basis.
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is preferred (or essential if applicable).
- Previous care experience is welcome but not essential, as full training is provided.
