Job Overview
DriveStaff Recruitment is currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers for an ongoing general haulage contract based in Bradford (BD6).
This is regular Monday to Friday work with immediate starts available.
Drivers can choose between day work or tramping, depending on preference. For drivers who choose to tramp, a £26 night out allowance is paid in addition to the hourly rate.
This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Class 1 drivers looking for consistent, ongoing work.
The Role
Duties will include:
- General haulage
- Driving HGV Class 1 vehicles
- Curtain-sided trailers
- Deliveries and collections
- Completing vehicle checks
- Ensuring loads are transported safely and securely
- Completing all required paperwork
- Following drivers' hours and Working Time regulations
Shifts
- Monday to Friday
- Ongoing work
- Day work available
- Optional tramping
- Regular weekly work
- Immediate starts available
Pay
£17.50 per hour PAYE
Plus:
£26 per night out when tramping
Drivers are paid weekly.
Requirements
To be considered for this position, you must have:
- Valid UK HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence
- Minimum 12 months' Class 1 driving experience
- Previous general haulage experience
- Valid Driver CPC
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Maximum 6 penalty points
- No DD, DR or IN endorsements
- Good understanding of drivers' hours and Working Time regulations
- Reliable and professional approach to work
