We are seeking a skilled and passionate Indian Chef to join our culinary team. Duties
- Prepare, cook, and present authentic Indian dishes in accordance with established recipes and quality standards.
- Supervise kitchen staff, ensuring efficient food production and adherence to safety protocols.
- Manage food inventory, organise supplies, and oversee stock rotation to minimise waste.
- Lead and motivate the kitchen team, fostering a positive working environment centred on teamwork and professionalism.
- Oversee food safety procedures, ensuring compliance with health regulations at all times.
- Assist in menu planning and development of new dishes to enhance the culinary offerings.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring all equipment is properly maintained.
- Provide excellent hospitality by serving dishes with professionalism and attentiveness to guests’ needs.
Requirements
- Proven experience in Indian cuisine, with strong skills in food preparation and cooking.
- Supervising experience within a busy kitchen environment.
- Demonstrable leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.
- Extensive knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene regulations.
- Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is highly desirable.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality.
