Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Sports Massage Therapist to join our team. The successful candidate will provide therapeutic massage services to clients, promoting relaxation, alleviating pain, and enhancing overall well-being. This role offers an opportunity to utilise your skills in a tranquil environment, helping clients achieve physical and mental balance through customised treatments.
Responsibilities
- Conduct personalised massage sessions based on client needs, including techniques such as deep tissue, sports and relaxation massage.
- Assess clients’ physical condition and discuss their specific requirements to tailor treatments accordingly.
- Maintain a clean and hygienic workspace in accordance with health and safety standards.
- Keep detailed records of client treatments and progress for future reference.
- Provide advice on post-treatment care and recommend exercises or stretches when appropriate.
- Ensure client comfort throughout the session and address any concerns or feedback professionally.
- Stay informed about new massage techniques and industry developments through ongoing professional development.
Skills
- Proven experience as a Sports Massage Therapist Level 3-5.
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy and physiology to deliver effective treatments safely.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Ability to listen attentively and adapt treatments to individual needs.
- Organised with good time management skills to manage appointments efficiently.
- Certification from a recognised Massage/Sports Therapy Programme and Personal Liability Insurance are essential.
- Knowledge of hygiene standards and safety protocols within a wellness setting is required.
- A friendly, caring demeanour with a passion for promoting health and relaxation.
- Ideally applicant is based in Bath.
Job Types: Part-time, Zero hours contract
Pay: £30.00-£40.00 per hour
