Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dog Groomer to join our professional pet care team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality grooming services to a variety of dog breeds, ensuring each pet’s comfort and safety throughout the process. Duties
- Bathing, drying, and brushing dogs to maintain hygiene and coat health
- Trimming, clipping, and styling fur according to breed standards or customer preferences
- Cleaning ears, trimming nails, and expressing glands as needed
- Ensuring the safety and comfort of pets during grooming procedures
- Maintaining a clean and organised grooming area in compliance with health and safety standards
- Providing exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners regarding grooming needs and aftercare instructions
- Managing appointment schedules efficiently to ensure timely service delivery
Experience
- Previous one year experience in animal grooming is highly desirable
- level 3 preferred; an up to date portfolio is more important showcasing your skills
- Knowledge of animal behaviour and handling techniques to ensure safe and stress free handling
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when handling larger dogs or equipment safely and confidently
- Passionate about animal welfare with a genuine love for working with pets and their owners
This role requires a responsible individual who is organised, attentive to detail, and committed to providing excellent care. Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a calm demeanour around animals.
Pay: £50.00-£150.00 per day
