Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Glass and Glazing Factory Operative to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in the production and assembly of glass products, ensuring high standards of quality and safety. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills within a dynamic factory environment, working with a variety of tools and equipment.
Duties
- Assist in the cutting, shaping, and assembly of glass panels according to specifications
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently during production processes
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace to ensure safety and efficiency
- Inspect finished products for quality assurance, identifying any defects or inconsistencies
- Assist with loading and unloading materials from warehouse storage areas
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times to minimise risks within the factory environment
Qualifications
- Previous manufacturing experience is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
- Mechanical knowledge or experience working with hand tools and power tools is advantageous
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
- Basic understanding of assembly processes within a factory setting
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to different tasks as required
- Physical fitness to perform manual handling tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods
