Job Title: Static Grounds Maintenance Operative
Location: Trent Park by Berkeley, EN4
Job Type: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 7:30am-3:30pm.
Job Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Mobile Grounds Maintenance Operative to oversee and be a part of our grounds maintenance team at Trent Park housing development in Barnet. The ideal candidate will possess a valid driver's license and demonstrate proficiency in operating a variety of grounds maintenance equipment, including zero turn mowers, strimmers, hedgecutters, and chainsaws. The Grounds Maintenance Operative will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and effective upkeep of outdoor spaces across multiple locations.
Responsibilities:
Grounds Maintenance Operations:
Operate and oversee the use of various grounds maintenance equipment, including mowers, strimmers, hedgecutters, and chainsaws.
Ensure that all equipment is properly maintained, serviced, and in good working condition.
Perform hands-on grounds maintenance tasks as required.
Quality Assurance: Monitor and maintain high standards of grounds maintenance to meet company and client expectations.
Conduct quality checks on completed tasks to ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
Implement corrective actions and improvements as needed.
Health and Safety Compliance: Enforce and adhere to all health and safety regulations and guidelines.
Conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions for the maintenance team.
Investigate and report any accidents or incidents promptly.
Client Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients to understand their specific grounds maintenance requirements.
Address client concerns or requests in a timely and professional manner.
Build and maintain positive client relationships.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in grounds maintenance.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Proven experience in operating grounds maintenance equipment, including mowers, strimmers, hedgecutters, and chainsaws.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to grounds maintenance.
