We’re currently looking for a reliable, skilled, and safety-conscious Maintenance Person to help us maintain a safe, comfortable, and well-presented Home for our residents and staff.
Your Role:
As our Maintenance Person, you will take pride in ensuring the Home is well maintained and meets all health and safety standards. You’ll be responsible for a range of general repairs and maintenance tasks, both inside and outside the building.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out day-to-day maintenance, repairs, and improvements
- Conduct regular safety checks (e.g. fire alarms, emergency lighting, water temperatures)
- Maintain records in line with health & safety and CQC requirements
- Liaise with external contractors when necessary
- Ensure the home and gardens are clean, tidy, and hazard-free
- Respond quickly and efficiently to maintenance requests from staff or residents
About You:
- Previous experience in a maintenance or handyman role (essential)
- Good understanding of basic plumbing, electrics and joinery
- Strong awareness of health & safety regulations
- Able to work independently and manage your own workload
- Friendly and respectful towards residents and staff
The role will be worked ideally across 2 days, 11 - 16 hours per week. An enhanced DBS disclose will be required, paid for by the candidate. We are unable to offer sponsorship.
