You might be exactly who we need to join our friendly team! We are looking for a dedicated and experienced childcare practitoner to become our new Nursery Manager at Caerwent Day Nursery.
The role is for 40 hours per week, 7:30-6pm daily, with a 30 minute lunch break, across 4 weekdays.

Responsibilities
- Overseeing the smooth running of the nursery, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards and policies.
- Support staff in the nursery with delivering engaging and developmentally appropriate activities for children.
- Supervise daily routines, including meal times, play sessions, and nap times, maintaining a safe and caring environment.
- Lead by example in demonstrating excellent communication skills with children, parents, and team members.
- Help room leaders to maintain accurate records of children's progress and attendance (we call them Learning Journeys!).
- Ensure health and safety procedures are rigorously followed at all times
- Ensure safeguarding is a priority and always put the children at the centre of every decision.
Qualifications and Role Requirements - Essential
- Childcare qualifications such as Level 3 in Childcare, Play Learning and Development (or equivalent)
- Experience working in childcare/with children at a level of at least Room Leader
Qualifications and Role Requirements - Desirable
- Management experience within a childcare or nursery setting
- Level 4/5 in Leadership and Management in Children's Care Play Learning and Development
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide staff effectively
- Knowledge of nursery regulations and safeguarding policies
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
