Job Overview
We are looking for a reliable and hands‑on Workshop Labourer to join our metal and engineering workshop. This is a practical, workshop‑based role supporting our engineers and fabricators with day‑to‑day tasks in a busy but well‑organised manufacturing environment.
This position would suit someone who enjoys working with their hands, takes pride in doing things properly, and is keen to learn new skills within an engineering setting.
Duties
- Assisting engineers and fabricators with general workshop tasks
- Preparing materials and components for fabrication
- Cutting, grinding, deburring, and basic metal preparation
- Mirror Polishing
- Moving materials and finished parts safely around the workshop
- Loading and unloading deliveries
- Maintaining a clean, tidy, and safe working environment
- Following health & safety procedures at all times
Skills
- Proficient in maths
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Full training will be provided for the right candidate.
