Responsibilities
- Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently, verifying dosage and appropriateness based on patient needs.
- Provide comprehensive patient care by offering medication counseling, answering questions, and educating patients on proper medication usage and potential side effects.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to review prescriptions, clarify instructions, and ensure safe medication practices.
- Maintain detailed records of medication dispensed, patient interactions, and inventory management.
- Monitor patient responses to medications, report adverse reactions, and adjust therapy as needed in coordination with medical teams.
- Ensure compliance with all legal regulations, safety protocols, and pharmacy standards related to medication administration.
- Stay current with new medications, medical guidelines, and anatomy knowledge to provide the highest level of care.
Qualifications
- Valid pharmacy license or certification as required by local regulatory authorities.
- Proven experience working as a Pharmacist, preferably with ICU experience or in critical care settings.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, pharmacology, and medication administration procedures.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively educate and support patients and healthcare teams.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail under pressure.
