Due to continued growth and further success, Safeplay Playground Services Ltd is looking to appoint additional Playground Maintenance Engineers to join our expanding Maintenance team.
This is a varied, practical and rewarding role for individuals who take pride in producing high-quality work and enjoy diagnosing problems, completing repairs and restoring playground equipment to a safe and professional standard. No two working days are exactly the same, with our Maintenance Engineers visiting a wide range of playgrounds and recreational spaces throughout the South East, London and surrounding areas.
Playground maintenance covers an extensive range of tasks and requires the ability to work confidently with a variety of materials, tools and equipment. Depending on the site and the repairs required, you may be working with timber, metal, plastics, ropes, chains, bearings, fixings, concrete, rubber surfacing and other specialist playground components.
The role may include inspecting and assessing damaged equipment, replacing worn or defective components, repairing timber and metal structures, tightening and adjusting moving parts, completing minor fabrication works, undertaking safety surfacing repairs and carrying out general remedial works to ensure playgrounds remain safe, functional and presentable.
We are particularly interested in speaking with candidates who have a practical background and a varied skill set. Experience within maintenance, construction, carpentry, fabrication, engineering, landscaping, groundworks or a similar trade would be beneficial. However, full specialist training will be provided for candidates who demonstrate the right attitude, practical ability and willingness to learn.

- Be prepared to travel to different sites throughout the South East, London and surrounding areas as required

As a Playground Maintenance Engineer, you will play an important role in responding to defects identified during inspections and completing the repairs required to keep playgrounds safe and operational. You will have the opportunity to work on equipment produced by a wide variety of manufacturers, develop specialist repair skills and contribute to projects that make a visible and lasting difference within local communities.
The position requires excellent attention to detail, as our engineers are trusted to assess repair requirements, complete work safely and ensure every job is finished to the high standard for which Safeplay is known. You will also be expected to represent the company professionally while working on customer sites and provide clear information about the work completed.
