National Grid’s Electricity Transmission System is undergoing a major upgrade to meet changing generation and demand requirements as part of the UK’s journey to net zero. We have established a working partnership with 7 delivery partners to carry out these major upgrade projects and we’re looking for an experienced and motivated Behavioural Lead to play a key role in driving collaboration and high performance across our Electricity Transmission contractor partnerships.
Working closely with the Construction Strategy Performance Manager, you’ll lead the rollout and continuous evolution of our behavioural framework—embedding a culture of trust, collaboration, and continuous improvement across complex infrastructure programmes.
This is a pivotal role where you’ll influence how teams collaborate across these major programmes, shaping culture, improving performance, and delivering lasting impact.
What you’ll be doing
- Champion and embed the behavioural approach, ensuring alignment with the partnership charter across projects and delivery partners.
- Facilitate engaging workshops to align teams and strengthen collaboration, build inter-organisational relationships, disseminating relevant information.
- Coach leaders and teams to build capability and sustain collaborative behaviours.
- Guide projects through behavioural maturity self-assessments and support the creation of clear, measurable action plans.
- Analyse data and generate actionable insights on health, risks and performance, to inform decision-making at regional and national boards.
- Present insights to regional and national governance boards to support informed decision-making.
- Continuously improve tools, frameworks, and processes based on feedback and programme needs.
We’re flexible on where you are based as this role will offer a mix of office working and travel to sites, alongside hybrid working from home.
