Burbage Custom Windows Ltd is an established window and door manufacturer based in Hinckley with over 30 years of industry experience. From our purpose-built manufacturing facilities, we produce high quality products using advanced machinery and modern production techniques, supported by our own logistics fleet and installation services. Alongside our manufacturing operation, we operate Modern UPVC Windows, our rapidly growing online ecommerce division supplying windows and doors to customers across the entire UK, as the business continues to experience a sustained period of significant growth.
Role Profile
The role is to load and deliver products to our nationwide customer base maintaining the highest levels of customer service to enable effective, efficient and cost-effective delivery of quality product and service to our customers working to company process standards and operating procedures.
The ability to start work early in the morning, from 4:00am working up to 50 hours per week
Willingness for the occasional overnight stay throughout the month
No weekend work
Key Responsibilities
· Exceed customer expectations by providing an exceptional and personalised level of service ensuring that a high level of customer satisfaction is achieved and maintained
· Check the quality and quantities of outgoing and incoming components and liaise with Despatch and Goods In Senior Operative on replacement of missing, incorrect or damaged items
· Safe loading and unloading of product to and from company vehicles
· Planning and following the most efficient routes for timely deliveries
· Drive safely and courteously at all times ensuing goods are not damaged during transit
· Driving variable distances
· Ensure that customer deliveries take place in an efficient, accurate and timely manner
· Complete and maintain accurate delivery records and associated paperwork
· Maintain a clean, tidy and professional appearance, wearing uniform to an acceptable standard
· Ensure that your vehicle is kept clean and tidy at all times
· Carry out regular safety checks on your vehicle
· Report any issues that affect performance to your line manager
· Meet daily and weekly targets and report progress daily to your line manager
· Carry out work with a focus on high quality output.
Skills, Experience & Personal Attributes
· Experience making multi drop deliveries
· The ability to start work early in the morning, from 4:00am working up to 50 hours per week
· Willingness for the occasional overnight stay throughout the month
· Full European category “B” driving license
· Mature and professional driving skills
· Self-motivated and focused, with a flexible attitude
· Good attention to detail, with high levels of accuracy & a commitment to quality
