This is a busy and varied role supporting the day-to-day running of the Department of Global Health and Development. Working as part of the Professional Services team, you'll provide operational and administrative support across the department, including communications, events, human resources, equality, diversity and inclusion, and research project administration.
Working closely with the Department Managers, Principal Investigators, Project Coordinators and Research Finance colleagues to support the delivery of research projects and departmental activities. This will include coordinating project administration, supporting budget coordination, maintaining departmental systems, arranging meetings and travel, and acting as a first point of contact for operational queries.
The successful applicant must have a minimum of higher education to A Level, or equivalent, or have substantial relevant experience as well as evidence of continuing professional development i.e., training and development courses. Previous experience in an administrative role and proven ability to manage your own workload, organising and prioritising tasks to meet deadlines is also essential.
The post is full-time 35 hours per week, 1.0 FTE and permanent. The post is available immediately.
This role will be primarily office based at Tavistock Place, London (minimum 2 days per week working from the office).
The salary will be on the LSHTM salary scale, Grade 4 in the range £34,741 - £38,986 per annum pro rata (inclusive of London Weighting). The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service. Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part time staff. In addition to this there are discretionary “Wellbeing Days”. Membership of the Pension Scheme is available. The post is based in London at LSHTM.
